A new leisure cycling scheme throughout the district and why not try the Middle Ride, part of the Durham Big Bike Ride on Sunday 21 September.
Organised bike rides will take place every month launching on 7th September at Deerness Leisure Centre 11.00am-1.00pm

A series of free open days for new members and volunteers at your local community sports club.
These open days will take place throughout the month at all leisure centres in the district.
Take it to the streets this month with pro skateboarding demo's, BMX and climbing or find your style with dance taster sessions across the district.
Events will take place in Millennium Square (Durham City Centre) on Saturday 30th May and Coxhoe Leisure on Sunday 31st May.
Learn to swim or get 'Aqua Fit' at Freeman's Quay and have fun rowing on the River Wear.
There will be free taster sessions in various aqua classes at Freeman's Quay Leisure Centre and free learn to swim lessons for adults. Taster sessions rowing and angling will also be available throughout the month.
Get the whole family involved in one of our family golf and tennis coaching programmes.
Family coaching sessions will be available at a number of the Golf and Tennis Clubs in the City.
